Sheetrock

Interior wall material

Sheetrock is a brand name for drywall—the prefabricated panels of gypsum plaster used to construct interior walls and ceilings.

Like kleenex or xerox, the trademark has become generic: We need to patch the sheetrock before painting.

The material replaced traditional plaster-and-lath construction in most residential building.
