fire-resistant
Won't easily ignite
Fire-resistant describes materials or objects that resist burning or withstand high temperatures without igniting easily.
The term doesn't mean fireproof—fire-resistant materials will eventually burn under sustained heat, but they slow the spread of flames: fire-resistant clothing, fire-resistant building materials.
Often used interchangeably with flame-resistant.
