Patriot's Day
April Boston commemoration
Patriot's Day is a holiday observed in Massachusetts and Maine on the third Monday of April, commemorating the Battles of Lexington and Concord that began the American Revolutionary War in 1775.
The Boston Marathon is traditionally run on this day.
Not to be confused with Patriot Day (September 11), which memorializes the 2001 terrorist attacks.
