Olympic Park

Athletic competition grounds

Olympic Park refers to a complex built to host the Olympic Games, typically including stadiums, athletic facilities, and surrounding grounds.

Cities that host the Olympics construct these venues as centerpieces of the event: We walked through Olympic Park to see the main stadium.

After the games, Olympic parks often become public recreation areas or tourist destinations, though some fall into disuse.

The term is sometimes capitalized as a proper noun when referring to a specific park: Sydney's Olympic Park now hosts concerts and festivals.
