Opera House

Aria performance hall

An opera house is a theater designed and built specifically for staging operas, typically featuring elaborate architecture, excellent acoustics, and a large orchestra pit to accommodate the musicians who accompany operatic performances.

Famous examples include the Sydney Opera House and Milan's La Scala.

The term sometimes extends to any grand performance venue, even one hosting events beyond opera.
