Shoreditch

East London area

Shoreditch is a district in the East End of London, historically working-class but now associated with tech startups, street art, and hipster culture.

Since the early 2000s, its name has become shorthand for a certain gentrified creative-class aesthetic: very Shoreditch, that's so Shoreditch.

The area's transformation made it a byword for urban trendiness and its pretensions.
