delegations
Sent diplomatic groups
Delegations is the plural of delegation, which has two main senses.
A delegation is a group of representatives sent to speak or act on behalf of others: The delegation from France arrived for the summit.
Delegation also means the act of assigning authority or tasks to someone else: Good management requires effective delegation.
The two senses connect—you delegate authority to a delegation.
