Bryce Canyon

Utah's orange amphitheater

Bryce Canyon is a national park in southwestern Utah known for its distinctive landscape of red, orange, and white rock formations called hoodoos—tall, thin spires of rock carved by erosion.

Despite its name, Bryce Canyon is technically an amphitheater of eroded cliffs rather than a canyon formed by flowing water: We hiked among the hoodoos at Bryce Canyon.
