Muse

Artist's guiding spirit

In Greek mythology, the Muses were nine goddesses who presided over the arts and sciences—poetry, music, dance, history, and astronomy among them.

Writers still invoke the Muse when speaking of creative inspiration: The Muse has abandoned me.

Muse is also a British rock band formed in 1994. (Lowercase muse means to ponder, or a source of inspiration.)
