Mitt Romney
Mitt Romney is an American politician who served as a U.S.
Senator from Utah and Governor of Massachusetts.
He was the Republican presidential nominee in 2012, losing to Barack Obama.
Romney became notable for occasionally breaking with his party, most prominently as the only Republican senator to vote for Donald Trump's conviction in his first impeachment trial.
His name sometimes appears as shorthand for establishment Republican politics or moderate conservatism: He's more of a Mitt Romney Republican than a MAGA type.
