Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams was an American founding mother, wife of President John Adams, and mother of President John Quincy Adams.
Her extensive correspondence with her husband during the Revolutionary period provides invaluable historical record; she famously urged him to "remember the ladies" when forming the new government.
She served as First Lady from 1797 to 1801.
