concession

What losers eventually give

A concession is something yielded or granted, often reluctantly.

In an argument, you make a concession by acknowledging a point for the other side: I'll make one concession—the data isn't perfect.

A concession can be a right or privilege granted by an authority: mining concessions, logging concessions.

In American English, a concession is also a vendor's right to sell goods at a venue—hence concession stand at stadiums and theaters.

To concede is the verb.
