Mauser
Bolt-action rifle brand
Mauser is a German firearms manufacturer whose bolt-action rifles became standard military weapons in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The name often refers specifically to the Mauser rifle or its action mechanism, which influenced nearly all subsequent bolt-action designs: He carried an old Mauser from the first World War.
The Mauser action remains prized by gunsmiths for custom sporting rifles.
