Aiming visual reference
Sight picture is the visual alignment a shooter sees when aiming a firearm—the relationship between the rear sight, front sight, and target.
A proper sight picture places the front sight centered in the rear sight notch, with both aligned on the target.
Shooters train to acquire a consistent sight picture quickly: Focus on the front sight and let the target blur slightly.
