Long Beach

Southern California city

Long Beach is a coastal city in Southern California, just south of Los Angeles.

It's the state's fifth-largest city, known for its port—one of the busiest in the United States—and the permanently docked ocean liner Queen Mary.

The name applies to several other American cities, most notably in New York on Long Island.
