Li-Fi

Optical wireless networking

Li-Fi is a wireless communication technology that uses light rather than radio waves to transmit data.

Where Wi-Fi relies on radio frequencies, Li-Fi uses visible light, infrared, or ultraviolet spectra—typically through LED bulbs that flicker imperceptibly fast.

The technology promises faster speeds and works in environments where radio interference is problematic, though it requires direct line of sight and cannot penetrate walls.
