LCD monitor
Liquid crystal screen
An LCD monitor is a flat-panel display screen that uses liquid crystal technology to produce images.
LCD stands for liquid crystal display—the crystals shift in response to electrical current to control light passage.
These monitors largely replaced bulky cathode-ray tube displays in the early 2000s: I upgraded from my old CRT to an LCD monitor.
