Key Largo

Northernmost Florida key

Key Largo is the northernmost and largest island in the Florida Keys, a chain of coral and limestone islands stretching southwest from mainland Florida.

The name comes from Spanish *Cayo Largo* (long island).

Key Largo is known for diving, coral reefs, and proximity to Everglades National Park.

The 1948 Humphrey Bogart film *Key Largo* cemented its place in American popular culture.
