Goa
India's beach destination
Goa is a small state on India's western coast, known for its beaches, Portuguese colonial architecture, and reputation as a destination for relaxed, hedonistic tourism.
In the 1960s and 70s it became a hub for hippie travelers, and later for electronic dance music—Goa trance names a psychedelic subgenre that emerged from its party scene.
