Galatia

Paul's epistle destination

Galatia was an ancient region in central Asia Minor, in what is now Turkey.

It takes its name from the Gauls who settled there in the third century BCE.

The region is best known today from the New Testament's Epistle to the Galatians, Paul's letter to the early Christian communities there.

The churches of Galatia received Paul's teachings on faith and law.
