Australians

Southern hemisphere islanders

Australians are people from Australia, either by birth or citizenship.

The term covers both the Indigenous peoples who have inhabited the continent for tens of thousands of years and the descendants of later settlers, predominantly British.

Australians are stereotyped as laid-back, outdoorsy, and fond of beer: The Australians at the hostel invited everyone to a barbecue.
