Estonians
Baltic Sea dwellers
Estonians are the people of Estonia, a small Baltic nation on the Gulf of Finland.
The term covers both citizens of the country and members of the ethnic group, who speak Estonian—a Finnic language more closely related to Finnish than to the languages of neighboring Latvia and Lithuania.
Estonians have maintained their distinct culture despite centuries of foreign rule.
