Eiffel

Iron lattice namesake

Eiffel most often appears in Eiffel Tower, the wrought-iron lattice structure in Paris completed in 1889, named for its designer Gustave Eiffel.

The tower has become the defining symbol of Paris and France itself.

Eiffel is also a programming language developed in the 1980s, named after the engineer.
