Mensa
High-IQ society
Mensa is an international organization for people who score in the top two percent on standardized intelligence tests.
Members join for social connection with other high-IQ individuals, though the organization has a reputation for attracting people eager to advertise their intelligence: He mentioned his Mensa membership within five minutes of meeting me.
In Latin, mensa means "table," suggesting a round-table gathering of equals.
