Quidditch

Seeker's aerial game

Quidditch is a fictional sport from the Harry Potter series, played on flying broomsticks with multiple balls and goal hoops.

The game has been adapted for real-world play without the flying, now sometimes called quadball.

The word combines *quid* (British slang for pound sterling, suggesting betting culture) with the suffix *-itch*, evoking an addictive quality.
