Dragon fruit is a tropical fruit with bright pink or yellow skin covered in green-tipped scales, and white or magenta flesh speckled with tiny black seeds.
The taste is mild and slightly sweet, often compared to a blend of kiwi and pear.
Also called pitaya, it comes from several cactus species native to the Americas but now grown widely in Southeast Asia.
