Calamity Jane
Wild West markswoman
Calamity Jane was the nickname of Martha Jane Cannary (1852–1903), an American frontierswoman known for her sharpshooting, rough manner, and association with Wild Bill Hickok.
The name now serves as a general term for a woman who attracts or causes trouble and disaster: She's a real Calamity Jane—everything goes wrong when she's around.
