wagon train
Covered caravan westward
Wagon train was originally the name for a long line of covered wagons drawn by horses or oxen, carrying people and their possessions westward in the 19th century in what is now the United States.
In modern use, wagon train is a fixed phrase used mainly to conjure up ideas about the early settlement of the American West.
