Boromir
Boromir is a character in J.R.R.
Tolkien's *The Lord of the Rings*, a warrior of Gondor who succumbs to the temptation of the Ring before redeeming himself in death.
The name has become shorthand for a flawed hero—someone whose weakness leads to betrayal but whose final acts restore honor.
His death scene, pierced by arrows while defending hobbits, is iconic in fantasy literature and film.
