BRIC
Four developing powerhouses
BRIC is an acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, and China—four large emerging economies grouped together by economists in the early 2000s as likely to dominate global growth.
The term later expanded to BRICS with South Africa's addition.
BRIC nations account for a growing share of world GDP.
The grouping is more useful for investment discussions than as a coherent political bloc.
