Diwali

Hindu lamp celebration

Diwali is a Hindu festival of lights celebrated in autumn, marking the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.

Families clean their homes, light oil lamps and candles, exchange gifts, and set off fireworks.

The festival spans five days and is also observed by Sikhs, Jains, and some Buddhists, each with their own historical associations.

We're hosting a Diwali party this year.
