Angkor

Cambodia's ancient temples

Angkor is the region in northwestern Cambodia containing the ruins of successive capitals of the Khmer Empire, which flourished from the 9th to 15th centuries.

The site includes Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious monument, and Angkor Thom, a walled city with elaborate stone temples.

We spent three days exploring Angkor.
