rediscovery
Unearthing something forgotten
Rediscovery is the act of finding or appreciating something again after it has been forgotten, overlooked, or lost to attention.
The term often appears in cultural contexts when artists, books, or ideas fall out of favor and are later brought back to public awareness: The rediscovery of her novels in the 1970s sparked renewed scholarly interest.
It can also describe personal experiences of reconnecting with something meaningful: His trip home led to a rediscovery of childhood pleasures.
