Anaheim

Orange County locale

Anaheim is a city in Southern California, part of the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.

It's best known as the home of Disneyland, which opened there in 1955, and as a major sports venue hosting professional baseball and hockey teams.

The name combines the German word for home (*heim*) with the nearby Santa Ana River.
