ziplining

Suspended cable ride

Ziplining is the recreational activity of riding a suspended cable from a higher point to a lower one, typically harnessed to a pulley that rolls along the line.

It originated as a practical means of traversing difficult terrain but has become popular as an adventure sport and tourist attraction, often set up in forests, over canyons, or at resorts.

We went ziplining through the jungle canopy on our vacation.
