woodscrews
Spiral-shanked metal pins
Woodscrews are threaded fasteners designed to grip wood fibers as they're driven in, typically with a tapered shank and pointed tip.
Unlike machine screws, which require pre-threaded holes, woodscrews cut their own threads: I need some woodscrews to attach the hinges.
Also written as two words: wood screws.
