tedding
Turning cut grass
Tedding is the process of spreading and turning freshly cut hay or grass to speed drying.
A tedder—a farm implement with rotating forks—tosses the cut material into the air, exposing it evenly to sun and wind.
The hay needs tedding before we can bale it.
