water balloon fight
Wet projectile battle
A water balloon fight is a warm-weather game where participants throw water-filled balloons at each other, the goal being to soak opponents when the balloons burst on impact.
The activity is associated with childhood summers, backyard parties, and informal outdoor gatherings: The kids had a water balloon fight in the yard.
Like snowball fights, water balloon fights blend play with mild competitive aggression.
