Sharks and minnows is a children's chase game where one or more players (sharks) try to tag the others (minnows) as they run across a playing area.
Tagged minnows become sharks, and play continues until all are caught.
The game is popular in pools, gyms, and playgrounds: We played sharks and minnows at summer camp.
