soaked
Wet through entirely
Soaked means thoroughly wet, saturated with liquid: I got soaked in the rain, a soaked sponge.
The word implies more than dampness—something soaked has absorbed as much moisture as it can hold.
Figuratively, to be soaked in something is to be steeped in it: soaked in tradition.
To get soaked can also mean to be overcharged: We got soaked at that tourist trap.
