War wagons are heavily armored vehicles used in battle, historically horse-drawn carts fortified with wooden sides and firing ports.
The term now applies to any imposing military or quasi-military vehicle: The SWAT team rolled up in their war wagon.
In Westerns and fantasy settings, war wagons often carry weapons or serve as mobile fortifications.
