People-carrying rail vehicles
Passenger coaches are railway carriages designed to carry travelers, as distinct from freight cars or locomotives.
The term appears in discussions of train travel, rail history, and transit systems: The vintage passenger coaches had been restored to their original condition.
In American usage, coach also refers to the economy class section of an airplane or train.
