undocks
Separates from berth
Undocks means to separate from a docked position.
A spacecraft undocks from a station; a ship undocks from a pier.
In computing, to undock is to disconnect a laptop from its docking station: I undocked my laptop and headed to the meeting.
The word implies a controlled, intentional separation rather than accidental detachment.
