ulu
Curved Inuit knife
An ulu is a crescent-shaped knife with a handle centered on top of the blade, traditionally used by Inuit and other Arctic peoples for skinning game, cutting meat, and preparing hides.
The curved blade rocks rather than slices, making it effective for scraping and chopping on flat surfaces.
Also spelled *ulo*.
