transparencies

Clear projection films

Transparencies is the plural of transparency.

In its physical sense, a transparency is a sheet of clear material—typically plastic film—bearing an image viewable when light passes through it, used with overhead projectors: The professor shuffled through her stack of transparencies.

This technology dominated classroom and business presentations before digital slides.

Transparency also means the quality of being see-through, or figuratively, openness and lack of concealment: The organization promised greater transparency in its financial dealings.
