townhomes

Connected urban dwellings

Townhomes are attached single-family residences that share walls with neighboring units but have their own entrances and often multiple floors.

The term is largely interchangeable with townhouses, though townhomes sometimes implies newer construction or a residential development: The new townhomes start in the low 400s.

Unlike condominiums, townhome owners typically own both the structure and the land beneath it.
