Cabins are small, simple dwellings, typically made of wood and found in rural or wilderness settings: a cabin in the woods, a log cabin.
The word extends to enclosed compartments on vehicles—the passenger cabin of an airplane, the sleeping quarters on a ship, the interior of a truck.
