tie-down
Keeps loads secure
A tie-down is a strap, rope, or fastening device used to secure cargo, equipment, or other objects in place during transport or storage.
Trucks, trailers, and aircraft use tie-downs to prevent loads from shifting: Check the tie-downs before we hit the highway.
The term also applies to anchor points where such straps attach.
