Pre-opening theater marathon

Tech week is the final week of rehearsals before a theatrical production opens, when technical elements—lighting, sound, costumes, set changes—are integrated with performances.

It's notorious for long hours, frayed nerves, and last-minute problem-solving: I can't make dinner Saturday, we're in tech week.

Also called hell week.
