read-through
First full recitation
A read-through is a rehearsal where performers read a script aloud from beginning to end, typically seated, without blocking or full acting.
It's usually the first group encounter with the complete text: The cast gathered for the initial read-through on Monday.
The term also applies to reading any document completely in one sitting.
